Once you write that killer blog post, you’ll need it to be seen. As I’ve discussed before, marketing is a major factor in blogging success; if your target audience never sees your great content, it won’t do them (or you) any good.
Here is a list of 25 ways you can promote your blog post – so that people will see it and your blogging efforts will ultimately be rewarded.
Just posting random tweets is not enough to catch the interest of potential followers. Post tweets that are likely to draw the attention of your audience. Make sure that you use relevant hashtags when you do this, and don’t forget to post a link to your latest blog post. See this for advanced Twitter marketing hacks.

Pinterest is a social media site with something for everyone – so you should absolutely make use of the site to promote your blog. What’s important to Pinterest users? Images that are pinnable. Insert attention-grabbing images in the top part of your post, so it will be seen quickly.

Never underestimate the power of Facebook. Start by promoting your post on your Facebook page, and then post ads to attract users to your article. Next: Instead of just asking people to share your article, try a different tactic; offer to interview influencers who belong to relevant Facebook groups, and then ask them to share your article (you can also share it with the Facebook groups you belong to).

It’s important to cross-promote your post across as many social media sites as possible, and the heavy hitters (like Facebook and LinkedIn) are very influential. Start by promoting your article on your LinkedIn page. Then, start discussions in the LinkedIn groups you belong to, basing them on your blog post (which you might post at the beginning of each discussion).

On Instagram, images are everything. Take advantage of that by creating a picture with a caption that grabs the eye (something like “Latest Blog Post!). You can include the URL to your article below the image.

When you make the most of Google+, you could very well see your blog post go viral. Google+ is a great place for employing SEO to draw traffic to your blog. Share your content with the people in your circles, and don’t be afraid to ask them to share it with the people in their circles, too; if you’re creating shareable content, they won’t mind doing it.
Note: Google has shut down Google Plus in April 2019. It is one of the many products that has not been sailing smoothly.
Utilize the Quora question-and-answer platform to answer questions on which you have expertise. You may then post a link to your blog post (but be certain that your article is related to the subject matter at hand).
Reddit is an established social sharing site. By creating your own subreddit, you can tailor the conversation toward your area of interest. One crucial detail: Simply posting links to your blog is considered self-promotion on Reddit and can get you banned – so remember to add value to the site by participating authentically in discussions and posting the content of others. Then, post a link here or there to your articles (but always do so in moderation, and only when you’re really adding value to a discussion).
Triberr is the perfect place to post your blog article and start getting it noticed. Choose a “tribe” that fits your niche, follow it, and approve the posts you like and want to share. After you are made a member by the tribe’s chief, you can start posting. You can also start your own tribe.
Another website to join is Social Buzz Club. There is a small monthly fee involved – but in exchange for that, you can post your content. Other members may share it, so your article could be seen by new audiences you might otherwise never have reached.
This is a free platform that will match you with other content creators. Those creators will share your content with their social media followers. As a member of the platform, you do the same for other content creators.
This platform is similar to the others mentioned here where members share each other’s content. You first earn credits by retweeting the retweets of other members. Once you’ve earned enough credits, you may begin posting your own retweets to the platform.
Sign up for this ever-popular discovery engine, and then categorize your blog according to its subject and add it to the catalog. People will then find it when they search for content based on that topic.
Use the Flipboard platform to create your own magazine. Clip the magazine by way of the Chrome bookmarklet, and users will find your great content when it’s shared. Let other users know that you’ve used their content to create your magazine; you can also mention your content to them, so they will check out your magazine and share it.
This site is based on a concept very much like the Flipboard platform. You act as a content curator when you sign up and start your magazine. By curating with authority, you will build a reputation as an influencer on the site – and that is when people will be likely to share your content.
Blokube is a blogging community with a focus on social media and blogging. It may take some time to build a reputation with the site’s users – but once you do, your content could be widely seen (and then shared) within the community.
This is a community similar to Blokube, but its focus is primarily on business. Post content on the site, and users will comment on it, as well as cast votes for it if they like it.
SlideShare is known for being a “quiet giant” for content marketing. Convert your articles into slides on the website; if the content is relevant and useful, you will draw traffic to it via SlideShare.
Convert your blog post into a PDF article on Scribd. Once you’ve done that, you can sell it through the Scribd platform.
Always remember to email your subscribers and let them know you have a new post (this is just one reason you should have an email list). Post a link in the email to make it that much easier for subscribers to see your article right away.
Whenever you link to a source, interview someone (preferably an influencer), or even mention a name, make sure to email the person and let him/her know you did. If you do this a lot (and you should), you can create a simple template to streamline the email-writing process. You might also ask the same people to share your post if they liked it or found it relevant to their followers.
Every time you create a blog post, summarize it and post it on relevant forums. A quick online search will help you find forums related to your area of interest; to get even better and faster results, try using a search engine designed specifically to locate forum posts (like BoardReader).
Find the influencers on LinkedIn, and start joining the same groups they belong to (you can find these by looking at their profiles). Then, send them connection requests. You are allowed to direct message people once you have established them as connections – so once you have done that, you can invite them to read and share your post. You could also mention the possibility of future collaborations or interviews.
Use a tool such as Social Crawlytics to figure out which of your content has been shared the most (just enter your URL in the site’s search function). Then, offer a link to your newest posts directly below your most popular ones (or a hyperlink within the text). You can also link to your most shared posts via the latest article on your blog.
If you’ve followed some of the tips on this list, you should already have a pretty good idea of who the other bloggers are in your niche. By joining blogging communities, researching forums, and participating in social media discussions, you will start to develop a good sense of which bloggers are consistently at or near the top of the search results. Reach out to these people and offer to feature them as guest bloggers. Mention that you’d appreciate the same opportunity on their blogs. You can also exchange bylines and links, so your respective audiences will get even more value from your blogs.
